Learning Gate is a safe haven for your child, building a fertile foundation for optimum learning.
The first lessons children at Learning Gate Preschool learn in our garden pertain to soil and its importance to growing a healthy plant. Within Learning Gate Preschool’s Garden Curriculum, our students are involved in every stage of the garden plan and as a result develop a personal relationship with nature. Lessons taught in the garden that involve developing a safe and nourishing environment for plants are directly related to creating a safe and nourishing environment for the student in their classroom.
Using the five senses as building blocks children absorb words, feelings, and a love for learning. We make the child’s environment rich in colors and words, sounds, textures, smells and tastes.
Our curriculum revolves around the natural world. We teach developmentally appropriate concepts using the natural world as our platform.
Afterschool program for K-5th grade includes homework time, gardening, cooking, arts and crafts and plenty of outside time
